The Story Behind SP Photography
Where Engineering Precision Meets Artistic Vision.
Founded in 2025 by Surya Pusapati — Network Engineer and Professional Visual Storyteller based in Regina, Saskatchewan.
The Mind of an Engineer
The Eye of an Artist
I thrive at the intersection where technical discipline meets creative expression. By day, I am an Engineer holding a Master’s degree in Industrial Systems Engineering from the University of Regina. By creative calling, I am a passionate, professional visual storyteller dedicated to capturing Saskatchewan’s most cherished memories.
This duality is SP Photography’s greatest strength. My engineering foundation guarantees obsessive attention to detail, precision lighting, color science, and enterprise data security. At the same time, my love for human connection ensures that every wedding, portrait, and creative project is documented with heartfelt emotion, authentic joy, and timeless elegance.
THE GEAR PHILOSOPHY
Proudly a Nikon Guy.
I’ve been a dedicated Nikon shooter since day one in 2016. From that first Nikon D5500 to professional modern full-frame bodies and razor-sharp NIKKOR prime glass, I rely on Nikon for its renowned optical color science, organic and flattering skin tones, dynamic range, and rock-solid mechanical reliability. Whether shooting in sub-zero Saskatchewan prairie winter conditions or a 12-hour summer wedding, my gear performs without compromise.

The Engineering Advantage
How My Tech Career Elevates Your Photos
As a Core IP & Transport Network Engineer and Data Scientist, I leverage cutting-edge technology and engineering discipline to give clients an exceptional, stress-free experience.
🛡️
Enterprise Data Redundancy
Telecom engineers never tolerate data loss. I employ multi-tier redundancy for every shoot: dual memory cards in-camera, on-site encrypted storage, and automated off-site cloud vaults. Your once-in-a-lifetime memories are 100% safeguarded.
🎨
Advanced Color Science & AI
With a Master’s in Data Science and Machine Learning, I understand digital sensor calibration, optical dynamic range, and modern AI editing tools at a granular level. The result is true-to-life skin tones and pristine print-ready fidelity.
